THE ding-ez "DRIVING BAR"

CONVERT YOUR BOARDING BAR INTO A DRIVING BAR with "HEAVY DUTY POWER STRUTS"

Soft – hull model w/power strut

RIB model w/power strut

"HEAVY DUTY POWER STRUTS" - add pulling power to your bar, yet still folds down with the pull of a quick-pin.

question
why do people like to drive at a standing helm in the middle of an inflatable?

answer
1 – Because it keeps them dry in a chop. Only their feet get wet.
2 – Because it maximizes driver visibility over the bow, allowing the driver to see shallow water, or partially submerged objects in his path.
3 – Because it gives the driver enhanced control and maneuverability. The boat tracks like a surfboard and the driver can turn by shifting his weight alone.
4 – Because it is great fun.

Note that the driver is not touching the tiller on the outboard, which is locked in neutral. He is steering just by shifting his weight, as if he was skiing while “wearing” the boat on his feet.

Driving without using the tiller is not recommended. This video is for purposes of demonstrating the enhanced performance characteristics of a centered, standing helm.

The ding-ez boarding bar easily handles normal boarding forces.

Adding a pair of HEAVY-DUTY POWER STRUTS increases the bars pulling power well beyond that needed for normal driving forces.

(NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE AT GREATER THAN HARBOR SPEEDS, OR IN THE PRESENCE OF WAKE).

HEAVY DUTY POWER STRUTS - low cost, heavy duty upgrade!

Available for both RIB and soft-hull models.
