Consolettes & Consoles
The ultimate mini-center-console for your dingy. Made from 100% boat safety rail with welded fittings, the consolette is strong. Its’ lighter than fiberglass, see-through frame construction makes stretching his legs out a breeze for the helmsman when seated… even with a passenger in the jump seat. Standing approximately 40" tall, 15" wide & 8" deep, the consolette has a tiny footprint… making it appropriate for dingies as small as 8'. Its’ stand-up, centered helm affords the helmsman the best possible visibility, tracking and control… allowing him to stand & carve his turns, or engage tiller steering at will. A short tiller extension puts the tiller close at hand whether standing, or seated on our optional aft leaning-post.
It can be ordered as a fixed center-consolette in floor sockets, or as a fully collapsible (inside the boat) unit.
INSTALLATION OF CONSOLETTE
a) RIB-INSTALLATION – FOR, FLAT, FIBERGLASS FLOOR
includes a pair of generous fiberglass deck reinforcement plates, to be sealed to the deck underneath the feet of the unit with 3M s 5200. The simple installation process is identical to the installation of a standard console.
b) UNIVERSAL INSTALLATION – for SOFT-FLOOR, V-FLOOR, PANEL-FLOOR
includes a pair of polyurethane glue on pads, 2 harness rails and a set of transom clips. Harness rails hug the pontoons as they run aft to the transom… exactly like those installed for a boarding bar. The consolette is mounted on the harness rails.
OPTIONS: integrated jump seat / fold-up boarding handles / aft leaning post
BASIC CONSOLETTE w/LEANING POST
w/INTEGRATED JUMP SEAT & FOLDING HANDLES
a) INTEGRATED JUMP SEAT
The jump seat is part of, and functions as a unit with - the consolette. They fold to the floor inside the boat and pop up together. When aligned in the center of the boat, they assure the helmsman that his craft is trimmed for the best possible tracking. Centered seating is the safest, most comfortable, and the driest place for a passenger to ride.
b) COLLAPSIBLE AFT LEANING POST
a comfortable helm seat that is positively stingy on its use of floor space. With a small tiller extension, the helmsman can always reach the tiller…
- He can stand & use it to steer when maneuvering in a crowded harbor.
- When seated: relaxing on relatively straight runs, or lazily exploring a quiet cove… the tiller can be easily reached when needed, just underneath him.
NON-TILLER MODEL – for use with tiller-less WHEEL CONSOLETTE
TILLER MODEL – with cut-out to allow the outboard tiller to swing.
LEANING POST folded down for stowing
c) BOARDING HANDLES
The beefy boarding handles guarantee an EZ-in, EZ out of ANY dingy, ANY time. They bring a whole new dimension of convenience, comfort & safety to your cruising life. Yet they fold up with the pull of a set of pins & disappear inside the boat for stowing. EZ! Whether your dingy is lifted on davits, snap-davits, or stowed upside-down on the cabin top or under the jib.
*Boarding handles are rarely necessary with the UNIVERSAL installation, since the legs are mounted all the way outboard, hugging the pontoons.
Maximum ease & comfort is available with a wheel consolette. It can be ordered fixed in deck sockets, or collapsible… and at either seated (27") or standing (38")wheel heights. RIB models are 15" wide, but can be custom sized. UNIVERSAL models are shipped 30" wide and are easily trimmed to fit.
The optional AFT LEANING POST is an ideal compliment to the standing wheel height, (tiller-less model) and is appropriate to boats as small as 8 feet.
The optional BENCH SEAT is an ideal compliment to the seated wheel height. The seated version of the WHEEL CONSOLETTE is appropriate to boats 10 feet or more.
