“THE BIMINI-BOARDING-BAR”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE march 24, 2011

The ding-ez company, makers of the award winning ding-ez boarding systems for inflatable boats, has launched a new product, and a fresh new concept. The “BIMINI-BOARDING-BAR” is a sturdy, high speed, graceful canopy that can be fitted to any inflatable boat. It has been fabricated over an enlarged and expanded ding-ez boarding rail system, using the same high quality nautical stainless steel frame used in the patented boarding bars. The canopy is generous at over 60” long and 54” wide. It will cover most of the floor space in any recreational inflatable and extends outward about mid-way over each pontoon. The main framework is a 54” tall version of the standard ding-ez boarding bar and therefore can readily assist entry & exit from the boat.

There are different versions of the new top, for different types of inflatables and different boating styles. Each of them collapses just like the boarding rail does, allowing for EZ stowing when the inflatable is to be hauled. The bimini-boarding-bar gains rigidity from being anchored in the transom, the strongest part of any inflatable, as does its cousin, the boarding bar. The company has created these unique biminis using a hard-top model, rather than the traditional “covered wagon” or “dodger” design in widespread use for bigger boats. “Dodger” style biminis on inflatable's are built using a series of angled struts and straps along the pontoons, making it uncomfortable to pass around them when getting in and out of the boat while the top is up. The ding-ez bimini, like all hard-tops leaves the pontoons clear to step in the boat, and the rigid, well placed supports also offer a helping hand.

Ding-ez products are made for cruising boaters, who frequently spend more time piloting their tenders, than they do piloting their cruising vessels.
